Life with a Singapura

They want to be part of everything, perch on shoulders and stay playful well into adulthood. Their voice is soft. They don’t like being alone.

Great for
  • People who want a small, interactive cat
  • Families with kids
  • Homes with another cat
Think twice if
  • You’re away all day
  • You need a kitten soon — long waiting lists and higher prices
Care tips
  • Minimal grooming.
  • Lots of play and climbing.
  • Keep them warm.

Health

Pyruvate kinase deficiency (PK-def) is common in the breed. The gene pool is small, and difficult births (uterine inertia) occur.

Ask the breeder for
  • PK-def DNA test
  • Parents’ vet records
Typical US price$1,500–$3,000
RegistriesCFA · TICAAsk for both parents’ papers

Prices are rough ranges from registered breeders and vary by line, color and region. A much cheaper “purebred” kitten is a common scam sign.
